O Clube dos Leitores Fiéis is a Brazilian horror book club. My task was to create illustrations and develop a logo and a visual identity fit for Stephen King fans while leaving room for other realms of horror.
Deliverables for the book club have included full illlustrations and different practical designs derived from them, for example bookmarks and social media templates. All illustrations have been made with printing in mind into a large size, with no AI used.
The creation process began from looking for inspiration and references, mainly different horror book covers from the 1970s onwards, and coming up with a concept. After that, I would go through various public domain image sources looking for images that would support the initial idea or shape it further. No sheen of technology or artificiality would be appreciated by the client in the final versions, so textures were in heavy use.
